Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E)

What do existing businesses need in Prince Rupert? Access to capital, marketing or sales advice, training, a plan for succession or expansion? These questions are at the root of a new BR+E program launched by Community Futures Pacific Northwest and the Prince Rupert | Port Edward Economic Development Corporation through a survey of 200 businesses. Once the needs are identified, both agencies will follow-up with the resources and expertise needed to help. We’re committed to a stronger business community in Prince Rupert.

Voting has closed, and now preparations are underway for the Gala.

February 25, 2012, 6pm @ Highliner Plaza.

Formal Dress. Tickets $50 each, tickets are available from the Chamber office, or email manager@princerupertchamber.ca

You can also reserve tables of 6 or 8 for your business.

The next membership luncheon will be on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Please arrive at 11:45am for a 12pm start. Member lunches are a great way to stay connected with other businesses in town and also hear about the latest topics from speakers in your community.

Member Lunch Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month.

Director Nominations Open

The Prince Rupert & District Chamber of Commerce is now accepting Nominations for the position of Director. There are 4 Director positions available. Nominations close Friday, February 12, 2012. Directors are required to attend monthly meetings held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month with the exception of July and August. Attendance of general membership meetings held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month is also required. There will be various committee meetings during the year. The installation of officers and directors will be March 21, 2012.
