Dear Chamber of Commerce
I am loyal supporter of Pr. Rupert and always appreciate your friendly community and service and will always shop there when possible.
Your City Tel has a cell phone agreement with Telus, now, but it only includes "post-paid" accounts not "pre-paid" accounts. My Telus cell service is "pre-paid".
During a recent visit to your city I spent $57 on Canopco calls from my hotel rather than using my cell phone, and also had to keep returning to my hotel room to make calls. I also missed a small business deal because another HG resident had relied on using his cell phone in Rupert and I could not contact him.
Upgrading my Telus account to "post-paid" would cost me another $120 per year.
Either $57 or $120 would easily pay for a trip to do my shopping in Terrace where my cell phone will work, without any extra cost or nuisance.
Please encourage your City Tel and Telus to include "pre-paid" cell phone accounts in their agreement.
I still enjoyed your town though! This is probably not the correct forum, but did not see a direct email access point. Thanks for considering.
