What is Business After Business?

 

Business After Business is an event sponsored by a Chamber member. The format is an open house event usually held between 5-7pm: designed so guests can drop by after work. All chamber members are invited to network with other members. The host business gets the opportunity to show case their product or service.

 

Responsibility of hosting Chamber Member: provide a venue for the event, refreshments and staff on hand to answer any questions. Have a table available for other members to put business cards brochures etc., provide one door prize.

 

Chamber responsibilities: the Chamber will promote your event in our online newsletter, e-mail and fax blasts. Your event will also be advertised on the Prince Rupert & District Chamber of Commerce website’s home page. Chamber staff will be available during the event to welcome guests and answer any questions.

 

To ensure your Business After Business is a success consider some of the following: partner with a restaurant and serve food, find a co-host for the event, send out formal invitations to suppliers or other stakeholders, advertise your event, have a display of your products or services, have staff on hand to tour guests through your establishment.
