BC Chamber .gifVANCOUVER, June 9, 2016 – The BC Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its new chair and board of directors for 2016 – 2017.

Patrick Giesbrecht, owner of Giesbrecht & Co., was sworn in as chair on Monday, May 31 at the BC Chamber AGM and Conference in Kelowna.

“It’s a great honour to take on this leadership role with B.C.’s largest business organization,” Giesbrecht said. “We have tremendous opportunities before us for 2016 – 2017 and beyond. In particular, we’ll be working hard to attract and integrate more young professionals into our network to help lead the future of our organization.”

Also sworn in as new or re-elected directors were:

Maureen Kirkbride, BC Chamber interim CEO, congratulated the BC Chamber membership on its new board.

“It’s great to see such a strong, talented group guiding our organization forward,” Kirkbride said. “As an organization, we can be proud that besides having province-wide representation on our board, we have also again achieved gender parity.”
