Redesign Rupert launched the Community Mapping Series on Friday, May 13 at Javadotcup. The event included remarks from the City of Prince Rupert City Manager Robert Long, Community Development Institute Co-Director Marleen Morris, and Community Futures of the Pacific Northwest General Manager John Farrell (pictured above).
The Redesign Rupert Community Mapping Series is the first of many initiatives that will engage the community in thinking, talking, and taking action to shape a vibrant future for Prince Rupert. Community Mapping sessions have taken place at the Salvation Army, Prince Rupert Square Mall, Roosevelt School, Charles Hays Secondary School, Prince Rupert Middle School, the Earl Mah Aquatic Centre, Safeway, the Salmon Festival, Hecate Strait Coffee Club and more.
If you would like to coordinate a community mapping session with your organization or at an event you are hosting, please contact Community Liaison Amanda Brown.
