Due to the ongoing recommendations by the B.C & Federal government to limit mass community gatherings and events, the staff and Board of Directors of the Prince Rupert & District Chamber of Commerce has made the unfortunate decision to cancel the upcoming Wednesday, March 18th Chamber Luncheon. We plan to reschedule our AGM and our confirmed speaker (Craig Hilton – Pembina) to a later date. We want to ensure our Chamber Members feel safe during this time.
While the BC Chamber and the Prince Rupert & District Chamber of Commerce are not in a position to make recommendations around how you should conduct your business during the current COVID-19 outbreak we do recommend you reference the most up-to-date information from the BC Provincial Health Officer, Health Canada, and the World Health Organization.
Additionally, The Canadian Chamber of Commerce has compiled helpful business-specific resources – visit their Pandemic Preparedness webpage. We encourage you to review this webpage if you are in need of resources.
The City of Prince Rupert has also released an update on city programming impacts relating to COVID-19: http://princerupert.ca/update_city_programming_impacts_relating_covid_19_2020_03_13
For those of you who have sent payment and that has registered for the Wednesday, March 18th Chamber Luncheon, Anthony will be contacting you shortly on refund options.
If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact Anthony at the Chamber office
